An airplane leaves the North Pole and flies due south for 50 kilometers. Then it turns and flies east for another 100 kilometers.
At the end of that journey, how far is the plane from the North Pole?

50 km

The fact that you said the red hair thing meant something about the youngest child being red haired was important.

from that I realized that there is a younger child, so I knew how to solve

Was my answer of a lil over 111km right?
(… to be precise)
Avatar of not_taken_1
Do you want the answer for the plane one?
Avatar of Peskybird_flies

Pretty sure it’s 50

flying east wouldn’t change your latitude

Avatar of not_taken_1
Not exactly

It’s asking for distance
Not latitude

I must be missing smth, cuz 2,3,6 also works, doesn’t it?

Avatar of Peskybird_flies
Well
My answer of 111 works on a flat map
On a global scale, then I think it would have to be 50, cuz of Ben’s logic
Avatar of not_taken_1
The answer: The plane is 50 kilometers from the North Pole. During its eastbound leg, the plane remained a constant distance from the pole

Yea
Unless he forgot to add some info, then either answer works
