VIRTUE

You know, the German philosopher Kant told us that we're only living virtuously if we do everything out of duty. Always act out of duty, he said. I think he was quite wrong. He said that if we do things because we want to do them, we are not acting virtuously. I think that's worse than sad!

I propose you sqaush that beef with him, before it escalates.

Whatever you do that comes out of your heart, is far more sincere than what you do out of duty. Best case scenario heart and duty fall together.

Maybe he was trying to say that do something just for money is not good.. Because most people work for money, esp for their own good, not for the good of society. Not Volunteer. And things will be much better if we do things with heart. Volunteer. Who`s Kant, btw ??meh.png

Kant said a lot of things and most of the time he is uncomprehensible...It is very hard to read...I like Schopenhauer better...even his major opus Die welt als Wille und Vorstellung  can be read not easily but it is possible.when you are sober...
