I dont know if majority would approve my suggestion. Relocate all the homeless in a rural communal farm. Guide them in agriculture or animal raising and marketting their produce. I knew they enjoy living in the city but beggars cant be choosy when receiving aid from the government and private foundation.

Farming will be done by robots. The Earned Income Tax Credit has been an unqualified success. This will be too.

Yep,this isn't some crazy Star Trek notion. Eliminating poverty is something the US can afford to do today! The rich have a powerful lobby. They've been calling all the shots for the last 5,000 years,but humanity can evolve culturally. They said:"You can't outlaw slavery;that's nuts!" They said: "Are you crazy! Let women vote!!". Now we can say: "Poverty is a violation,of your human rights!",and some countries can eliminate it.

What you fail to appreciate is peoples varying degrees of ambition. If someone is happy working for $15,000 a year and he is then given $20.000 for doing nothing, why should he go back to work? He would be quite happy to sit around with five grand extra in his pocket. Millions of people reach a certain lifestyle they are happy with and will only work hard enough to achieve that level. If that level was $20,000 you take away the incentive to work. You end up with millions of people doing nothing but living on handouts. Something very similar to what happens in Britain.
This is not true, what is being proposed here bears no resemblance at all to what is happening in Britain.
It simply isn't possible to live any kind of decent, normal life on the meagre amount that is paid through Britain's benefit system, have you ever tried?

I have a solution, let all the people who want this tax, pay it to help the poor. Then, let the people who *don't* want the tax/don't want to pay it, not have too. :) Seems fair to me.... considering that handouts are not exactly in the Bill of Rights. ;)
