le BLUES aurait été inventé par ...Chopin 184x, en plein romantic move, avec l'appellation de la " NOTE BLEUE", celle qui te colle le bourdon comme le sirop d'érable quand le pot est vide au bruch' ! 

(tech. note bleue do dièse ou ré bémol, je crois).

Une expression de George Sand dans le chapitre V de " Impressions et souvenirs " a éveillé ma curiosité. 
Nos yeux se remplissent peu à peu des teintes douces qui correspondent aux suaves ondulations saisies par le sens auditif. Et puis la note bleuerésonne et nous voilà dans l'azur de la nuit transparente. George Sand, Impressions et souvenirs, p.86. 
 Car la note bleue, blue note en anglais, désigne une altération de certaines notes de la gamme du blues, mot qui  dériverait de l'ancien français, blue.
 Je m'adresse donc aux connaisseurs de l'œuvre de Georges Sand pour savoir s'ils ont connaissance de la répétition de cette expression dans d'autres écrits ou s'ils peuvent m'aider à orienter ma recherche.

Concerning imperfection :

we may notice that even natural diamonds are almost with inclusion affecting clarity. Artificial diamonds are 100% clear. But the most expensive are ...naturals !
