This is really overkill. Mr. Snowden didn't free anyone. Whoever thought we weren't being spied upon after the Patriot act must have been delusional. Seriously, what's going to happen in this country to change anything now that everyone admits that the U.S. government spies on American citizens? Did that stop drone strikes? Did it give a fair trial to people imprisoned in Guantanamo Bay? Did it stop the support of crazies in Syria? Does it help the peoples of Yemen, Afghanistan, Somalia, Bahrain, etc.?
Welcome to Russia, Edward!

I never thought I would see the day when a Russian citizen is actually a lot more free than an American one, LOL!!

What day are you talking about? Do you mean to say that the Russian government doesn't spy on it's citizens? Russians don't have free speech zones? Protests are not quelled in Russia? What does it mean to be more free in Russia than the U.S.?

The most frustrating thing about being a U.S. citizen is that our country uses the military to harm other people around the world and we can't get together to stop it. Domestically the U.S. citizen's life of economic struggle is very familiar to the Russians, I'm sure.

@trysts,
Don't bullshit me about life in the USA. I lived there for five years (2007-12) and I can tell you for a fact - in Russia an individual is a lot more free. Come and live here for a year and you will definitely feel the difference.
Plus, our chicks are prettier.

You're unfortunately right about nothing changing in America because of these leaks. Sometimes I think Snowden is actually a government agent and this leak is the secret agencies' way of announcing: "This is how it's going to be from now on and we're not even going to bother to pretend to hide it anymore."
Edward Snowden is a Russian resident now. He will be safe here. Long live heros of Free Humanity!
