Imagine flexing ur lowwwww under 140 IQ couldn't be me lol lol

jk 120-140 is considered gifted, very smart

but actually stop flexin sometimes it's impressive but in the case of IQ it's cringe

Case in point: My IQ is 142. No one cares.

I once mentioned that I scored 169 and some people DO care. Every so often, someone quotes it at me. It seems that it isn't acceptable to some. happy.png

It's ok to just casually say it, but to say "Ha, look at me, my IQ is XXX!" is extremely annoying.

Don't ever trust all online IQ tests. Take the results with a grain of salt. I have taken an authentic iq test and it was above 150. Online, the one i took said mine was 182. The result you get from an online iq test will be either 30 points higher or lower than your real iq.

That’s not always true. Which online IQ test did you take?

And I wonder why you can’t say an exact number for your IQ instead of “above 150”.

I admit that I casually mentioned it, completely within the context of the discussion, in the same way that I did just now but in a context where I knew the person concerned would get very wound up about it: but doing that is just a form of minor and very innocent teasing. However, it was blown up out of all proportion. I went on to ask whether if I had been six feet ten inches tall, mentioning that would have had such a devastating effect. I came to the conclusion that many people are under the illusion that IQ is fixed, static and cannot be improved, and so they get annoyed.

Look at #86 and #87. Also, you couldve made your point WITHOUT stating your IQ and it would have had a better effect. That might be what chessguy is trying to say, and i agree with him.

Just pointing out that you wouldn't have written that if I'd said "126". So it's definitely not my emotional problem.

How do you know that?
