From my personal experience a Diamond Membership is awesome. I decided to get a bit more focused on my chess game in December and purchased a Platinum Membership which was a serious upgrade from my Free Membership. Lucky for me there was an issue with my Platinum Membership and I was fortunate enough to get a temporary Diamond Membership upgrade for about 6weeks. Oh man was that the best, unfettered access to all the bells and whistles Chess.com has to offer. The Game Review Feature, Lessons, Insights, and access to Videos really helped me improve. My interest in learning to improve as an adult beginner went up and holy smokes my rating started to climb and continues just from the Diamond experience. Chess is fun when you understand what you are trying to do (win, lose, or draw). Sadly I was dropped back down to a Platinum Membership, but don't get me wrong, it rocks too especially since I have access to all the lessons I did as a Diamond. I'd love to have a Diamond Membership but Platinum will suffice for now. In my humble opinion (coming from an adult beginner) if you want to improve and can afford it, the Diamond Membership is the way to go.
