The rules are always in a state of flux. It makes the forums more exciting...
Politics and Religion are great fire starters so the topics get banned. Everybody whines and cries they can't talk about religion and politics so the topics are opened up to see what happens. We learn that politics and religion are great fire starters.
I guess one needs to define politics and religion before saying can't talk about it.

It seems weird that trans and race issues would be considered political, and not social, issues. Maybe because social issues become political issues to benefit politicians.
