Metal music is hard to classify because no two bands follow the same guidline. every Metal band is trying to be original and make there one sub-genres, that assorting them is really hard now a days.

i think the song "circus" by britney spears kinda good... but i hate her...
metal is divided into many catagories...grunge, death, black, swedish death, neo-swedish death, american death, new american death, classic, epic, hair, prog, thrash, speed, goth, industrial, and atypical...just to name a few...my favorite band is TOOL!!! theyre considered prog. metal...after tool i guess Stone Temple Pilots, Beck, rammstein, faith no more, primus, modest mouse, tom petty, jonny cash, pantera, iron maiden, metalica's first 4 albums, and iron and wine are all great bands!
rock, metal or hardcore i hate all of them... seriously i don't understand a word!

TOOL! by far my favorite band... musical/lyrical geniuses.
Tool is very good, it's just hard to understand sometimes, take Wings for Marin and 10,000 days for example. They are great songs, but you can't tell what they are saying half the time.
tool is the closest thing to musical perfection a group can get. all instruments working in unison and harmony, lyrics expressing deep emotions that are subjective to the listener, and all the members are masters of their choosen mediums without their egos getting in the way of making beautiful compositions. perfect in every way
When I'm alone, I like quiet songs, but when I'm with my friends, loud songs are the only option. 👍🙂
