I have a supersonic UFO and have broke the speed of sound! You humans and internal combustion engines are slower than molasses! Boooya!

When you think about it we've all broken the speed of sound (in some way)

If you've ever used a whip aggressively enough it breaks the sound barrier. If you have been fired a gun (or a pellet gun or something similar, if, like me, you've never shot a real gun)

We are both traveling at approximately 828,000 kilometers per hour, right now.

And the sun is also orbiting the Milky Way, which is also zooming about the universe.

Well, here you can go at 50 per cent of speed limit if you want, but, whatever the speed, it is mandatory to drive on the right lane if possible. If it works the same in the States, they could "hit" you because of that.

If I'm going exactly the speed limit, why should I have to move over to the right lane. I can't legally go any faster.

It's not about logic, it is a rule, at least here (no clue in the States): whenever possible, you must be on the right lane, at any speed.

The right lane is the slow lane or going the speed limit. Left lane is considered the passing lane. Middle lane is somewhere in between. Here in Florida , I drive 70 mph in the right lane and people zip past me consistency..... I used to be a speed demon years ago , I've hit over a hundred several times, but after seeing a few accidents I decided to turn it down a notch......plus I don't want to beat the balls off my car.

Maybe you should start a new thread about driving? Like asking people to support increased speed limits or lanes with unlimited speed. I, for one, would voice my agreement with that as I like to push the pedal every once in a while myself.

That makes no sense. Why should I go in the right lane if I am going the speed limit? That means people in the middle lane would have to break the law to pass me.

90 % of people speed, right lane is the slow lane, pretty much common knowledge.

One time I was speeding in a school zone and hit a small speed bump. I thought school zones didn’t have speed bumps - but I don’t know.
Pulpofeira

No, definitely school zones don't have speed bumps, why should they do? Maybe what you hit was a kid, who cares.

20 mph is not too fast, the problem is many drivers are surpassing limits by far. And not every pedestrian is staring at the phone when crossing. I wouldn't ever say every driver is staring at the phone when driving, even if many actually do.

To each his own, youngster. Once I was surprised while driving by two teen brats like you describe, they suddenly invaded the road running from behind a parked truck, no way to guess it. I could stop because I was driving at a pace that allows me to prevent those things, as usual. Of course it would have been their fault anyway, and they had to listen to my complete catalogue of curse words in Spanish, which isn't precisely short. But I was glad I could avoid an accident.

On the other hand, years ago my wife was surprised by a "speed demon" on a crosswalk while crossing with our 4 years-old son. The driver was so out of her head she couldn't even try to stop, she swerved and hit the kid, luckily without giving serious damage, although he fell unconscious for a while. I can tell you my wife wasn't texting, she didn't even own a "dumbphone", and couldn't do anything to prevent it. The driver was a mother herself, apparently she was late to pick her own kids at school, I say this because I have no prejudice about a particular type of driver or pedestrian, you find assholes everywhere. I hope, since your father lacks the balls, that time teaches you before you get involved in a tragedy that could ruin your life or/and anyone else's

Pulpofeira

Ok, but school zones are not to take as a joke.

I drive about 52828362928463728 miles per hour. Pretty safe speed.

I have a plan to get states to raise the speed limit. I will get 3 of my friends who drive, and we will line up right next to each other on the highway and set our cruise controls at exactly the speed limits. Traffic flow is usually 30 mph over the limit, so we will slow down traffic for everyone for MILES on end. And as for not "riding" in the left lane, I have a clever plan for that too. We can use 4 cars, and will shift positions in a circle so that the one in the left lane is constantly getting out of the lane, and someone else is constantly getting into it. This way, we cannot be ticketed for riding in the left lane, OR going too slow. I will do this on every highway every week until they start to raise the limits. I will pay these guys $200 every time they agree to do it. This may seem like a tantrum or expensive, but it does work.

ORRR you could send me 500 dollars once and I would be happy with my new Hamilton Khaki Feild Automatic for 10-15 years...
