Larry Bird - basketball and Wayne Gretzky - hockey; although both were spectacularly gifted individual players in their sports, each made everyone they played with better (to the extent that many have become Hall of Famers in the respective sports) and they both played their games with an intelligence that was far superior to not just their contemporaries but before and since. (the only exception is Magic Johnson who was Bird's nemesis, Gretzky has no equal)

My favourite is called Malt and is best when playing single, he is opening all my senses and makes my head turn, and he is running very fast down my throat.

I'm showing my age (52) but mine would be Willis Reed who played in the N.B.A. for the Knicks from 1964-1974. a graceful big man who played to a high level, was team captain, often played through injury, and was on the only two championship teams the franchise owns. had a GREAT outside shot for a 6'10" guy. a delight to watch.
