Who's AwesomeAtti?
Hi Atti. I vividly recall the dial-up tone as well, can picture it now. There is indeed something special about this pocket of the internet. It attracts people with differing views based off a common interest, and algorithms do not dictate any content we see on this site. It's what keeps me coming back. Maybe it's simply nostalgia.
Every now and then I drop little easter eggs about who I am. I think many of you already have formed a picture of me.
You've grown on me a lot since the days when a certain squirrel was here.
I don't do it for the clicks. I don't do it to power trip despite the opinions of some.
I know we can always mod better. I try to be as consistent as I can but still have to follow the guidance provided. It's not as unilateral as some might think.... I just think mods get the blame for some decisions that aren't always theirs.

OTF wouldn't be the same without you.
It'd be better.
no doubt!
Also, can I steal the “the board is 64 squares, but the possibilities seem infinite.” Quote to use in my next presentation or smth?
I’m not just a mod, I’m more like the janitor of Off-Topic Forums. ...
Wait, are you the Jannie foretold in the forbidden scriptures of the forums?

I’m not just a mod, I’m more like the janitor of Off-Topic Forums. I sweep up trolls, mop away brain rot, and take out the spam.
I was forged in the fires of dial-up Internet—back when logging on meant screeches that could summon demons and shake your grandpa's fillings loose. From those humble beeps and boops, I rose, armed with a love for technology, food, traveling and connecting with others.
Why do I do this? Because I believe in this community. I believe that even in the darkest corners of OTF, when the trolls gather and the memes get stale, there can still be light… and maybe even a laugh. My mission: to keep everyone safe, having fun, and groaning so hard at my jokes it reshapes your elo rating.
So remember: the board is 64 squares, but the possibilities seem infinite. That goes for the diverse opinions and beliefs of OTFers too. We don't need to judge the opinions of others as right or wrong... just different... and that's ok. We're all human. "There's no such thing as best in a world of individuals."
