The waste will still emit radiation and to much of it can damage the earth, and kill us faster than global warming, also 500 million for one reactor? That’s not going to work to put those all over the world

Yeah...but all the other energy sources combined costs way more than maybe 1000 nuclear reactors around the world would cost...and it provides sustainable energy for days...

The issue would actually be finding ur-235....uranium is very common but ur 235 is quite rare =)

Mars doesn’t have high radiation, it has an unlivable atmosphere

There’s ice at the top of Mars

alot of it is carbon dioxide ice...only about 10 % of that ice is water ice =)

earth has ozone layer which protects us from radiation but mars has nothing like that

agreed

Yeah that’s another problem, uranium isn’t going to run out, it’s going to cost to much money that politicians don’t want to spend on that kind of thing because they don’t think it’s their problem
M1m1c15
Yes I know about the sun stuff, that’s a little different, I was talking about that when I said unlivable atmosphere

on mars, uv wont be that much of an issue, amrs is really far from the sun...uv refracts very easily...by the time it will reach mars, it will have refracted so much that the concentration wont cause much of an issue... =)

The suns radiation, which is what I meant

russia, canada and kasakstan are the only reliable suppliers of u-235 =)

That will take a few billion years for the sun to run out of gas

M1m1c15
I meant uranium is going to run out and no I didn’t ignore you you just said the same thing as someone else

u-235 might run out...but then again after earth supplies run out..it should be possible to get it from the moon....both formed in a very similar manner...idk =)
