Why are there yellow squares in online chess?

I jsut got back on and saw that there are yellow squares instead of filled in yellow squares. Did chess.com have another update?

It's everywhere and it sucks, in my humble opinion. Distracts. Opaque was much better.

Not only that, you can't make moves anymore (using Safari on iPad)!

I know what he means, worst destription ever but I know what he's talking about.  Instead of highlighted there's a bold outline.   But it keeps going back and forth for me.

I noticed that too...liked old way better!

Staff said they are working on it in another thread...use chess.com app to make your moves

It works on my computer, I can move the pieces. Are you on a computer alex?
