why are you here?

It gives you hope!

AlCzervik

so, which deity am i to pray to for hope?

jesus? god? allah? vishnu? jehovah?

because you believe in something that cannot be proven, don't expect me (and others) to think you are sane.

if i told you i believed in scientology and john travolta was my god, you'd think i was off my rocker. now, turn that mirror and understand that, whatever you believe is simply that-belief. every religion has tenets that are simply untrue-but people still drink the kool-aid.

mormonism says there is such a thing as magic underwear that will keep you safe. christianity will have you believe in a virgin birth. just two examples among many. do i need to quote a book you might think is god's word? on that, both the old and new testament were written well after jesus walked the earth. and then didn't. and then did.

i'd also like to point out that many wars have been fought and many have died based on which religion people chose to believe. that is insane, killing because another does not believe in your god.

About your last point, the correct religion doesn`t do wars against flesh and blood. Also, it can be proven. There is no other reason life would be created. How can something without the ability to think create such a meaningful life? It is well made, we have food, oxygen, the ability to think and create shelter, digestive systems to digest the food, lungs and the ability to reproduce so we don`t go extinct. This was clearly a well thought out plan. Evil and death is to test our love, faith and hope. Also, to expose that we are not perfect and that we need God to protect us. His peace surpasses all understanding.

AlCzervik

"the correct religion doesn`t do wars"

they all have. to use your words, it can be proven.

the rest of your rant is evolution, not about any plan.

just say you have faith. that's it. don't try to reason by using religion. no religion is logical. and, don't preach. "we need God to protect us". i'll continue to look both ways before i cross the street. you can walk blindly.

Evolution?? Really? How did the first species of everything survive? Lol Your so desperate to resist the truth

The correct book says to not war... Doesn`t mean people follow what it says. The book and guidelines are still perfect.

AlCzervik

i'd also like to say it is extremely arrogant to assume your religion is the correct one.

what if i really did believe in scientology?

oh, yeah, that's the crazy one.

You still have no explanation about how the first species of everything survived

And I know it`s the correct one because all the prophecies about the messiah were fulfilled

whichever book you are referencing is open to interpretation. that people go to war based on religion says a lot about how these books are interpreted, no?

you sound like a peaceful person that abides by the 'good' things in the bible. but, i don't need a fairy tale to teach me morality (and i went to sunday school!).

you also can't gloss over the violence in both the old and new testaments and say the 'guidelines are perfect'. wasn't joe sold into slavery? didn't he also have half-brothers and half-sisters? your god killed people! even though he told us it was a sin to do so...

that's just the tip of the literary iceberg as far as the books are written, my friend.

Because you don`t understand the reasoning of those events. It`s prideful (arrogant) to think that you don`t need Him because you think you`re good enough without Him. And no, there is no misinterpretation that makes people go to war. They are simply "lukewarm" believers (that`s if they are even believers)

Scientific theories have no answer to how the first species survived. Therefore there is only one reason why we are here. Also, Romans 1:18-22 is the ultimate refutation on why there are so many "theories".

was i required to do so? no. me saying that religion is bullsh*t does not mean i must provide an ample rebuttal to how we all came to be.

i don't know. you don't know. the books you believe in are fiction, written by men decades after jesus lived. i will go back to the scientology example. what if i insisted it is right, based on things i have read that i believe are true? that is what you are doing. you can't prove anything. pat robertson has predicted the end times many times since about 1980. based on interpretations of a book of fiction.

getting to your 'species' comment specifically, how did the dinosaurs get in the ark? why did the lions not eat the lambs?

maybe you should read more about evolution and fossils instead of believing in fairy tales about a boat that somehow contained every creature we know of.

? your "refutation" is more fiction!

face it, if your view were proven, there would not be so many other religious beliefs.

so, don't insult me and others by saying you have proof of anything. you believe. you have faith. fine. don't tell me it is the absolute truth, or i will expect you prove it, which you cannot do.

furthermore, you insist that your fiction is correct only because there is not proof of other theories. you remind me of the tool in england that would make crazy statements and then ask, prove me wrong.

you must have a great time debating those that are protestant, islamic, mormon, right? after all, every one insists their religion is the correct one. and if you disagree, well, that's when the beheading's start.

…. lol etc. 😂

.. lol only was shortening the long post.. =P

I’m going to share with you two testimonies of mine, that, because my belief and understanding they resulted as beautiful as they are.

I have had plenty of beautiful testimonials, I had my left pinky severed toe hanging by slightest bit of flesh overlapped onto my foot, and was laughing because how I recognized that it was no part of me at all, that I am God’s image and likeness and that He is never harmed, nor could be, this was my firm understanding then, just as written “Suffer the children to come unto me, for such is The Kingdom Of Heaven”, and I was age 9.

My parents though and brother were panicking saying rush me to the clinic but I told them “We rely on the Lord, right? Dad, you were in the service a nurse... take me into the bathroom and bandage my toe up.”, and so my brother and Dad quickly grabbed each underarm as I held foot balancing toe overlap as lol I hopped into the bathroom. I had worn a bandage and walked on it with no discomfort ever for 3 weeks and took bandage off to see blood but no slight scar at all! Age nine

One rainy day while waiting over an hour for my Mom to pick me up from bball practice I decided to go ahead and walk home because she must have been pretty busy to have me waiting that long.

I got to a streetlight that was near an off ramp to cross the street over a freeway bridge, with cars waiting for their green, windows down telling me to go ahead and cross even though hesitant. It was my intuition that I had not that moment stood firm to accept, agreed and began to cross the street while a vehicle just off the ramp slammed into me, flew about 20' and instantly knew I was in my Father's Hands.

I picked up my bat and glove and KNEW I was in His Hands and stood right up. The left side of me was hit, though I was fine. The driver was hysterical, and asked me if he could drive me anywhere. I told him to my Mom's house where I was heading to begin with.

The whole way there he was hysterically ranting how my Mother was going to sue him and was freaking out and I sillily then started to panic for being hit while walking home in the rain because I had waited for her over an hour later than expected, and from such fear, the crazy thing was I began to feel discomfort in my left leg.

I immediately realized the silliness of such due my spiritual understanding of who I really am that I learned in Sunday School and began to mentally demonstrate, rebuked the falsity that was attempting to manifest, and recognizing what I first had realized, experienced, that being Truth... I was eleven years old then..

We arrived to my house and he frighteningly hurried to the front door with me, with my Mom greeting us at the doorway. Panicking, he shared to her what had taken place, and my loving Mother eased his fear bringing him to recognize everything was okay, as he saw I was doing just fine, still though having to demonstrate mentally the silliness. He then went on his way, probably a bit confused but hopefully compelled to find God for himself!

I then went into my room, grabbed some cassette tapes on such needed mental recognition comforting me to re-manifest my true harmony and state of being and was soon restored whole.

The following day I had a baseball game, hit the ball, not a home run but I did make it into home base! After previously had been hit by a car off the freeway the day before. I'm now 43...

AlCzervik

so, you believe, too. as i wrote previously, there are groups here for fairy tales.

you did not mention your deity of choice. should we guess? ha! it doesn't matter. they're all the same.

as for you stories, everyone that 'believes' always thinks the hand of god is involved when they survive. rational people recognize it as luck, especially when we take into account all those that died on any given day due to any circumstances.

I take it on the account of my spiritual understanding of what it means to be God’s image and likeness, and He, as it’s written of Him IS A SPIRIT.

John 4:24

“God is a Spirit: and they that worship Him must worship Him in spirit and in truth.”

King James Version (KJV)

I’m working to properly be living such atonement, such the narrow path, that only gets stronger and stronger as one abides fully living what Jesus did every single day he walked the Earth before his crucifixion, and raising his third day from him in the grave, and then his walk to Emaus before ascending into Heaven, and I hope this becomes very understood for yourself, that you too may seek and find TRUTH and be free, with Jesus as your Lord & Savior, saving you from Eternal damnation of fervency, and INSTEAD LIVING FOREVER IN HARMONY, INTELLIGENCE, LOVE & PEACE.

Love always is the best medicine indeed! And that ain’t whatsoever any superficial sense.
