I do not expect/want you to understand me if you have never felt the need for interrogation before.

Have you ever questioned, Why did all this happen to you?

...

Of course you did before! (I want a perfect body, I want a perfect soul,... Radiohead - Creep)

Are you sure you did this enough?

Question Everything

null

(Awsome wallpaper isn't it ? lol)

Everything has a reason, reasons have results, past has result of future and everything is connected.

Why you thinking your own toughts now?

What has changed since you were a baby?

Your environment and you!? Environment and even your biological structure It's based on past!

Past creates the future! Past is the real one to blame.

So why you still beliving to free will?  Do you think a person will be responsible for their own decisions after they arrive at a certain stage? So why that person have that decisions?...

I think if you understand the reason and result, past and future, person and environment you can be understand free-will is wrong!

I want you to listen to your thoughts about this subject.

Thank you.

I like Alan Watts' take on this, which is to reject this dichotomy: the truth is that we are both the observer and the doer. We both make choices and simply observe the choices we make. Both things are true.

Of course I can't phrase it as elegantly as Alan.

I don't think Alan Watts is the only one who recogniced this. In the end being part of the system one can't be only the observer or the observed one. The same way you can't entirely strip action and reaction in a social network.

We choose our own path by the choices we make.

Our paths have already been chosen before we have made our choice.

The fallacy is that you assume that science understands consciousness and that materialism can explain consciousness, which is not the case. The nature of quantum mechanics leaves room to negate determinism based on real laws of physics.

On the other side of the coin, decisions are obviously influenced by our environment and our past experiences, but to what degree exactly is impossible to measure with our current understanding.

If you believe in determinism and that all you are is your brain, think of this: if a computer could perfectly map each neural connection in your brain and mimic its functions perfectly, why is that computer not you? Can you answer that question logically? Of course not - there is no logic to it - there's simply an intuitive feeling that there is more to what we are than JUST our brains. There's an intuitive feeling that there is more "under the hood" of reality than we can access or understand. If you deny that you are as dogmatic as the religious dudes.
