The answer to the thread OP is really quite simple:
Because they don't tow the left-wing media line that all the other networks do. That in and of itself makes them a target for the left to attack, even though Fox regularly brings on left-wingers for debate. That's not enough though if you don't support the left-wing cause. It makes you an "enemy" that should constantly be made fun of and attacked.
Now for a long while I considered myself a conservative, but there kept being certain issues with both the right and the left I didn't agree with. Since then, I've aligned msyelf with the libertarian (not to be confused with liberal) philosophy, which means I tend to agree with John Stossel's commentary.
No, it's not so simple, young man.You have an ideology that has been supported by the media you choose to view and/or, read. Fox "personalities" have been shown many times to not know anything about what the truth is. They often go with the talking points of the day. And it's all dictated by Ailes.

There's a reason that Mr. Cote referenced Smith College and not any of the other colleges in that area. You just have to know, brah, and not assume.
In any case, Julie Nixon (President Nixon's daughter) went to Smith in the late 60's. Sylvia Plath went there as well in the early 50's.
What I meant by that comment was, a couple of years ago she was asked to give a speech for the graduates of Smith college. It just seemd like they all went ga-ga when they heard.
