Yup more of those goofy trolls, so we need to go to Part II.

A enjoyable movie for Baseball fans is entitled " Moneyball ". Brad Pitt is featured in this film about the years when Billy Beane was running the Oakland A's.

Well the Blue Jays need to get a big winning streak going if they want to grab a wild-card spot, not looking too good at this point tho.

Baseball - it's just not cricket.

Thanks for the post Strangemover. Yes your point is quite correct   lol.

Well the dream is over ! Yup last week the Blue Jays started trading off a couple of Pitchers ( Francisco Liriano and Joe Smith ) so we are done for this year. Don't worry tho Blue Jay fans because Spring Training starts in just 7 months ( and Hockey starts up soon ).

The NHL teams are starting up their training camps so we will have Hockey again soon ( Go Oilers Go ! ).

You must miss the days of the great one.

training camp? it's akin to preseason games.

we're getting to the nitty gritty of baseball season.

---   Well good old number 99 has joined the Oiler training staff and we have a good group of new players now.

most of these sports don't matter until a few weeks before the playoffs start.

unless you are witness to a great team, as you probably were with those oiler teams, and i was with the bulls.

the regular season means much less when over 50% of teams go to the postseason.

Thanks for the post AlCzervik. Good points but each local sports-market is a bit different as well. Here the radio station that carries the Oiler games has a 2 hour hockey talk-show 5 days per week ( yup for 52 weeks each year ).

understood. in certain areas, certain teams receive a lot of attention. i've been in areas with no pro teams and no big universities. the big thing in those areas are the high school teams.

which makes me laugh, and, sad at the same time.

I don't follow Football much, beyond a bit in the CFL however today I heard that the NFL has had some rather boring games recently and some people prefer watching US College Football instead.

There is bad news and there is good news. The Blue Jays have sadly had some difficulties this year however the good news is that the Cubies are thru into the playoffs ( Go Cubs Go !!! ).

The DH rule endangers the players.  In the National League where there is no DH, a pitcher contemplating a beanball knows that in about 15 minutes, he may be facing a vengeful enemy pitcher.

Thanks for the post Oregonpatzer.

And We Are Off !!! Yes the NHL regular season has started ( Go Oilers Go !!! ).
