Well, it all started with PUBG being popular. Epic Games wanted to create a battle-royale type game to rival PUBG, so Fortnite was created. It steadily gained traction, and where PUBG died Fortnite prevailed in keeping a constant stream of content that got their player base immersed. Soon Fortnite became the popular game, and as all trends go, people began to love to hate Fortnite, as Fortnite's fanbase soon blew up into a crapfest of cringy kids and streamers alike. This didn't make Fortnite bad gameplay-wise, it just was really annoying to face Fortnite fanatics.
As time and seasons progressed, Fortnite became worse and worse. Perhaps because they were running dry on innovative content, or they were just lazy, but for whatever reason, Fortnite's quality is starting to drop. And that's good, because Minecraft's bouncing back! Wooooo—!
