Hi
Winter Is Coming
Yes. I read it a couple of years ago, and I'm re-reading it right now. I really admire Kasparov.
On the same theme, have you read Masha Gessen's "Surviving Autocracy"? Or "Twilight of Democracy" by Anne Applebaum or "How Democracies Die" by Ziblatt and Levitsky? Or "On Tyranny" by Timothy Snyder? All really great.
And oh, by the way ... how did you figure out how to keep your games from losing connection? I just lost four games in a row on the 2d or 3d moves because my connection goes down while my opponent is supposedly pondering his (or her) next move. The next thing that happens is that the game is lost because I supposedly "abandoned" it. Very frustrating. What can I do to fix this?
The insights of a great chess grandmaster. Has anyone read this book by Kasparov?
