Has it ever occured to you - human nature being what it is - that people who make 'witty' remarks during a game are just trying to put you off? I do not indulge in this particular tactic but would offer the following to you the next time someone attempts to be 'creative' -
"Is that your car I can see from my window about to be towed away?"
If they persist then it will speak volumes of their desire to actually play the game.

ekorbdal, I have had this kind of thing happen where I was laughing during a blitz game and It hard to concentrate. I guess I did a poor description because I am talking about the mostly negative things people say when they are mad and then there is a witty reply.
a cheater playing philosophy
Somtimes it gets pretty funny when players are chatting back and forth during a game. Howabout some examples of the stuff people say. I am not counting the "your a lousy player" "thats not what your mother said!" stuff. I asked a guy what his name meant (written in German) and he said "I am a malignant narcissist" and I said "you must be fun at parties!"
Btw I am not saying my own remark is that witty just giving an example.
