A grown man, a stranger, gifts a kid membership of his own volition. Then complains when the kid says he doesn’t like cats and calls him ungrateful.
I don’t think the kid has any obligation to appreciate your gift. You are a stranger on the internet.

Just because a stranger gives you something, doesn’t mean you’re obligated to respect them or even appreciate them.
Besides, saying that you don’t like cats really isn’t that bad.
