I have noticed that a lot of chess players are also into poker. I watch the WSOP every Tuesday from 8-10PM. Do you think playing poker helps your chess ability? Do you think playing any other game helps your chess ability? Why or why not? The one thing I have noticed about poker is that because of the element of luck in a single tournament an unknown can win over the pro players, which of course doesn't happen in chess. Finally, what do grandmasters play as far as other games are concerned? Lasker was a great bridge player for example.
