Not like his threads? On the contrary. His titles were eye catchers, invoked interesting, thought provoking discussion. Yes, I often attempted to engage him in what he was attempting to say. He talked in contradictions most all the time and would never really answer any direct questions. Still, many contributers carried on conversations, some were enlightening, by example the topic of meditation. Tom started with threads "be yourself". It was very apparant he was not being himself, I repeatedly suggested he seek further help (he was in therapy years past) but rejected all such observations by myself and others.
I know you were his friend. I accept some of my comments were "tough love" and maybe not the best in some cases. But clearly, tom was headed to this point, if not now, maybe sooner, maybe later. Who is to say what was best? Condoning irrational thinking, telling him everything is OK mate? OCD is nothing to be concerned about, just leave him alone?
I sincerely hope tom is finding peace. He has deleted his account. He spent far too much time here to live a normal life. Maybe he has found better ways spend his time.

Seems its too difficult to engage in rational conversation. Dish it out, block when any disagreement presents itself.
Possible s23bog. It appeared however a steady progression towards a "break" was happening. His last comments were of contrition, not the usual I'm leaving this thread for good.
Yeah, I don't have anything else to say to you MD, and unlike Tom, I have no tolerance for bullying or nastiness on my threads.
Your recent thread Carla being a perfect example. A poll taken advocating political talk in the forums. You"re well aware such a forum exists in The Open Group, yet your intertest lies in inciting members to protest a policy that makes good sense and was agreed to upon signup. A member opens a thread with the expectation of a topic to be discussed, not to be freely interupted with politics under the guise of free speech. Your intentions are clear.

I'm going to be writing about my exit in the thread time to say goodbye.
Tom resigned all his games, deleted all his friends. Maybe this time he really is serious. Don't leave without saying goodbye tom. You truly are a legend, now that is the truth.
