When I was 8 years old, my school decided to make the new Under 8 chess team. I thought I won't be in my team as there is so many good players. Still I went to the team Try outs. It had 5 rounds. I won my first, second, third, and forth rounds. In the 5th round I was paired with the captain. Unfortunately I lost it. But still I was so happy. I was third in rank. The vice captain had more tie break than me so I became third. I am so happy about my achievement!
Your biggest chess achievement

Only got into chess as an adult. (Yall are lucky! Study like crazy!) My first big tournament was the American Open in Southern California. A Novice section for U1000 rated players. I ended up 4/5 and tied for first with one other person.
Was on the verge of emotions. I had worked very hard, serious studying, serious researching, puzzling, playing. Everything had come to its fruition. Was immensely proud of myself.
Thing about chess is it only gets more complicated as you climb the rating ladder. I keep getting good scores, but here's to my next 1st place prize in a tourny. I know its coming soon.

Congratulations for all your achievements!!! I'm impressed
and Muffinator69420 why don't YOU post your story?

Well, as you can see from his profile, he's from the muffin gang, and when you're rated that low, you don't have achievements, only chess failures.

I sacrificed my queen then forked their king and queen. Yet I am 600. Checkmate. Get it?

Hello everyone who is interested into sharing your biggest chess achievement, you can post your story here, and see other's stories. I'll just start my sharing mine.
There was this inter-province chess tournament for school chess teams in the central province, every school that has chess can participate. I was 10 yrs old and i was in my chess team., so my team entered that tourney. And there was 7 rounds. On day 1, every player in the team won, as there was 4 rounds, so we got all the points. on day two, we lost to a school but won all the others. and then we became 2nd place. we were all so happy as we went to get our trophies. that seriously improved my chess.
so now feel free to share your story! thank you
