Mine just happens to be a FPS. Sniper Elite.
My apologies for breaking your rules.
Haha, I knew some people would try to sneak one in, but I didn't think it would be so soon...

Well, I just looked up "Sniper Elite", and it seems to be a third-person shooter. Since I labelled those as a grey area, it seems you didn't break the rules. :-)
This thread may not end up working very well - the idea was to get away from shooters. Oh well... :-)
SNES, PS1 N64, yes I'm old LOL
Ha. Not at all. What about Goldeneye for N64?
I haven't played that one but I hear it's really good.
I really haven't played many video games in recent years; My favorites are from a while back: The Commander Keen series (hence my avatar), the original Duke Nukem, ZZT, Paganitzu, and Bricks (a freeware version of Microsoft's Klotski - http://bricks-game.de/ )
More recently, I played a few older text adventure games: Lost Pig, Wishbringer, and Planetfall (specifically, McCrea's modernized version of Planetfall).

I haven't played too many video games in recent years. My favorite non-shooter of all time is Myst III:Exile. The whole Myst series was good and Exile was my favorite. For those unfamiliar, Myst was a puzzle solving adventure game with some extremely tough nuts to crack.
Pulpy, what game is that one?

Pulpy, what game is that one?
That's Saboteur from Durell Software, for the ZX Spectrum. Not a masterpiece actually, but I'm fond of its memory. There were some very fine games for the Spectrum, like Renegade, Green Beret, Skool daze, World Series Basketball... This is from middle 80's. Then I wasn't playing again until early 90's, with Sega Mega Drive and Streets of Rage, Shining force, the superb Flashback, and others.

Sorry, didn't notice your answer. Btw, I enjoyed Monkey Island for a little while at a friend's home, he had a pc. We were stuck at certain point in the early stages and I was proud to be able to figure out the utility of a rubber chicken with a pulley in the middle.
For some reason a rubber chicken with a pulley in the middle reminded me of The Incredible Machine series of games. In the games you have to solve problems by building Rube Goldberg type contraptions to perform actions.
List your favorite video games, as long as they're not first person shooters. I never understood the appeal of an FPS...
I couldn't decide whether to also prohibit third-person shooters. I guess that's a grey area...
