What’s your purpose in life? You don’t have one. No one does. There is no such thing a “purpose” it’s a human construct, once we got good at feeding ourselves and surviving in general, we had a lot of time to think, and we humans thought to ourselves “what are we supposed to do, why are we here” this is the danger of sentience. We then started creating things for use to do, or things to explain why we are here, which is why religion exists. The truth is everything that gives you “purpose” is just an excuse to keep you busy until you die. Purpose isn’t real, it’s just something we made to keep us busy, because if you think about it we don’t have a reason to exist we are kinda just there, so we gave ourselves purpose. Interesting

You're talking about what I call the Teleological Fallacy, and I think you're right. This is pretty much why I define culture as the exercise of spare brain capacity.
Amazing, everything in that sentence was wrong. Religion is more than something to keep us busy. Our purpose on earth is to do the Lords will and to tell others about him.
