Copy the PGN file and paste it into the moving diagram, wrapped up in a personal message.
Sharing Computer Analysis
I'm sorry but I do not understand this answer. I also would like to share an analysis with a friend but do not know how. I saw one post that said to simply send the URL for the analysis to my friend. However, he got my message and tried the URL but said he did not get the analysis.
What is the "moving diagram"?
How do I copy the PGN file into it?
How do I then put that into a personal message?
I'm sorry if I sound so dense, but I simply don't have the experience on the site to know these things and I have not been able to find the answers on my own after several hours of searching. I'm probably looking in the wrong places but don't know where else to go.
I really appreciate your answer.
Thanks! :-)
1. "Online Chess"
2. "Archive"
3. Bring up relevant game
4. Click "Computer Analysis"
5. Click "PGN"
6. "Open with" Notepad/Wordpad
7. Highlight and copy everything in text document
8. Compose message to Friend
9. Click the little chess board:
10. Select "Game or sequence of moves"
11. Paste contents of text document into "Use PGN file" window.
12. Edit as appropriate
13. Send analysis to Friend
With practice, this operation will take about thirty seconds.
Thank you for your rapid reply. I sincerely appreciate that.
I followed your instructions and sent the analysis to my friend. I also checked my 'sent' copy and everything was there...just like you said it would be. That works so well I can hardly believe it!
Thanks again. Now I have another item in my bag of tricks.

Remember that the analysis and the statistics contained within, are written from the perspective of the originator of said analysis.
I always point that out, when sending analysis, to avoid confusion.
Thank you PrawnEatsPrawn - that is an extremely helpful explanation. I wondered how to do that too.
I'm just glad that no one picked me up on the rather vague:
"12. Edit as appropriate"
To explain that would be a tough ask but fortunately, webmaster provides some insight:

Read this to learn how to "cut and paste" in a wide variety of situations (applies to Windows OS)

I am playing an unending series of games with a basic member. When a game gets weird (ie, I lose) I run a computer analysis to pinpoint where I went wrong. My less experienced oponent would like to look at the analysis to see how he won.
How do I share a computer analysis with a friend ?
