Chess Team ( Scholastic )

We do not have a chess team in our school - where to begin ?

I've never started one, but my first step would be to read what I could find on the net.

After school programs seem to be a good place to hold chess lessons and let the kids play. Talk to the admin at the school and see if you can get a teacher to help sign kids up or work with the after school program in place. Talk to the PTA and admin for support. You will need vollunteers to be there each week or when ever you meet. USCF have a big scholastic section for tips on orginizing clubs on there website.
