Hi, I have a doubt, while I was playing chess I stumbled on this configuration:

with white to move.

At first it seems to be checkmate, but the rook, wich should to defend the queen, is nailed (sorry for my english, I don't know if the word is correct).

Therefore, is it checkmate? Or the king can capture the queen?

It is, because the rook will get to take the king before the queen takes to take his king.

Once the black king falls you win, so the black queen never gets to take white king.
