Isn't deflection a theme is chess?
502 ?? Server error. Our fault. We will look into it!

For those that have been around awhile, ignore the ignorant rantings. I doubt any of them have any experience with server hardware, database architecture, or Software design. They wouldn't know an index from a select, a 'for' from a 'while', or an 'update' from an 'insert'. I think most of them just want to have an adult respond to their wailing so they can feel good about themselves.
I have three websites that I have built from scratch. One of them is chess related and with the help of chess.com, it is gaining members. I have voluntarily halted it to relieve my small impact on the server loads until the error is remedied, which I have NO DOUBT WHATSOEVER will happen soon. This site is the most popular chess site on the internet. It is gaining chess players from all over the world, each and every day. It is gaining because of all the options available to players, REGARDLESS OF THEIR SKILL LEVEL!
Why don't you just SYF and let the folks here get on with fixing the issue? Play against the computer for a while, and see if you can beat what you think is your level. Have fun, stop complaining, and just enjoy the game for the sake of the game!
That's all I have to say, and if you don't like it, find someplace else that offers as much as chess.com. Don't let the door hit you in the fanny on the way out!
With you doing all this free PR simping for them you'd think chess.com could afford a little more sever capacity.

It still works. Name a website with as many subscribers, or with as many online at any given time that is without glitches of some sort. Patience and time will work this all out.

One more think to you Honey, chess.com use to close the “threads “ because of angry arguing people, who pretend to know more about what is going on. I admit I’m chess player, not a specialist in soft or hard ware. Chess .com will solve the problem! Me? I go to play some computer chess. 😉

I'm starting to regret signing up for a paid membership. With the amount of 502 errors it would be nice to get a little compensation from chess.com for services not rendered (for paying members).

It would be nice if someone would give me a Rolls Royce, but that probably isn't going to happen, either... ;-)

And it happened again.. Wtf are you doing with all the money we pay for the memberships, if you can't afford to get enough server capacity? Did you spend it all on Magnus?

Yes, looks like the merger of the backend architecture with Magnus' brain wasn't as effective a server upgrade as they had hoped

You need to get in the queue behind the bunny/dictator.
They need to book their ideas up fast as there is plenty of other sites to move to. Imagine charging people for a service they can't use and not investing in better infrastructure

Oprah - "A Rolls Royce for you, and a Rolls Royce for you..."

...
*ESPECIALLY* since I also am a patreon of Lichess.org and they don't have these issues over there AT ALL.
...
Me too. Amen, effendi.

To be serious, difficult for me, there are five issues here.
First, chess.com is broken. And has been for weeks. Months?
Second, to date, we have received promises, coupled with excuses and explanations, that it will be fixed. The result has been that it has gotten worse.
Third, those of us who have paid for a functional service are not getting it.
Fourth, there has not been a whisper of compensation for those services paid for but not provided.
Fifth, there are a number of apologists, for whatever motivation, who are (1) excusing the lack of services and (2) criticizing, sometimes attacking, those who are pointing out issues one through four.
That's how I see it.
lol, what does SYF mean? I dont know, It could mean So Your Funny? or So Young Fool? or Show Your Facts? or Some Yummy Food? who knows for sure? It gets to down to if you are not in the software or hardware community, you don't know the issues they are facing. So, no game, set, or match. No checkmate either. Have patience, they will fix it. It's the greatest online chess site there is.
