Pretty sure that was due to a DDOS attack. For the most part, with a few exceptions, things have been pretty stable for around a week.

There have been some over the past few days. They have been handled quickly when it happens, but the vast majority of the time the site has been stable.
I just solved another puzzle correctly. Page said SOLVED + 5 points , but yet again no points added to my tally on my home/profile page.

Just happening right now, logged into this account today and i keep getting 502 messages.
You guys must be hallucinating. Don't you know the site fixed the server problems many months ago?
I also thought I got a server error this morning until I realized it was just my mind going wonky...
The site was having some issues today but that should be resolved now.

I think there are still some issues happening today too.
1.) Game Review on the Android app required several Retries.
2.) Games Reviewed on the Android app having White/Black Pieces Flipped Top/Bottom, but captured pieces being shown not Flipped Top/Bottom. (I fixed this by Clearing Cache and Storage, uninstalling the app, rebooting and reinstalling the app.)
3.) Android app required several tries to logout.
4.) Login on the Web required several tries.
Nope, not fixed yet. Just happened to me at 10:00 am CST when I logged in it took about 5 minutes, displayed a guy and a chess table. The message was 'Server overload, please wait' and a countdown clock of around 50 seconds timed out, then it repeated. I finally logged in as you can see.

First time this has happened to me. No big deal. I just waited for the server to cool down. And the guy in the video trying to fix it to cool down too.

It was resolved yesterday. Something new came up, that may be related to what happened yesterday but it's a different event.
