There are not enough moderators to have live monitors for all the random top games.
If you continue to report people who you observe to be breaking site rules, they do get muted frequently and sometimes have their accounts closed.

Thank you for your answer, but it's something like 5 games which are showing in 'Playing now' section in peak times. This is where all the problems are located.
I remember there were a couple of times when I reported a guy (some other people also reported him), and he continued spamming at least 15 minutes. Then I got tired and left. I've actually never seen somebody being quickly muted from the chat.
And yeah, as I mentioned in another thread, some toggle either in settings or in the game interface, is needed to close the chat. Safe mode doesn't work for other people's games (I tried).
The problem is as follows
When I watch some top player game, I also see the game chat in the right lower corner. And it's a totally unmoderated cesspool, where people are constantly insulting each other, spamming and so on. I struggle even to find censored words for things I see here sometimes. It sometimes comes to assaults to underage girls, porn links, player's relatives insults etc. Their conversation has nothing to do with chess.
Even when I send reports nothing happens, at least during a reasonable timeframe. Even when multiple people send report, nothing happens.
The questions I have to chess.com:
1) Where is the chat moderation and why it doesn't exist?
2) If you don't have resources for moderation (which is strange), why cannot you make a simple mechanism for normal people to turn off the chat or block concrete people in it, so I don't see any sus links or countless insults? I would like to see the game, the analysis, but not the chat.
3) Is there ANY way to turn off chats on other people's games?
UPD: duplicated from here https://www.chess.com/forum/view/help-support/absence-of-live-chat-moderation, I didn't know at first where should I put the topic.
