I have been running a few daily tournaments, and the main feedback I'm getting is people do not like the knockout format. People would prefer a swiss style, or at least a single group round-robin style that doesn't require you to play every player at once and allowed more than 12 players.
With the current format, the majority of the players have a short tournament and don't get any sort of ranking in the field. There also ends up being a lot of waiting while the one slow player holds up the next round while everyone else has to wait.
I hope there are plans to introduce more options for tournament formats.
