I love magical pieces that do the two-step. Call it Dancing with the Chess Stars.
Frankly, it's never happened to me, probably because I primarily play "Daily" or correspondence chess.
I assume you reported the bug, but that doesn't mean it will get fixed right away.

maybe the app assumed you were playing the bongcloud.
app and site have lag issues when my internet is fast and stable. it's kinda annoying when you're winning and chess com disconnects you. is it just me?

It happens to me occasionally.
I touched my king to castle and it moved to d1 instead. On the next move, I did not touch the screen. The app premoved the king back to e1.
