Blitz "Game will end is 20s" timer is awful

Itz a blitz game, with left on my clock, I need to think about my position, somewhere between :00 I see "Game will end in 20s" and then count down. Why?? I have 3 minutes, not 20 seconds! I need to think and putting it under stress of abandoning the match is awful idea. Lost 3 games like this in a week. I understand you want to prevent rage sitting, but you cannot sanction players who just need time to convert the position.

You have a short time to make your initial move and up to half the starting time control for move 2-10.
