I run the Chesscom mobile app on a 10 inch tablet so I can't simulate what you are seeing. But here are a few things you can try.
1.) I'm running version version 4.5.14 of the Mobile app, go to Google Play and see if you can upgrade the Chessom app.
2.) When you select a bot to play, go into Custom and select a Time Control. Does displaying the clocks change your display?
3.) In your phone Android Settings, check that you are using the Default Font Size and the Default Display Settings. Does changing either of these settings make the board larger or smaller for you?
Edit:
4.) I see you are running the Chesscom app using the Custom Theme Setting. If you change the Mobile App Theme to Standard, do you still have a problem?
Hi,
I play on a 5" smartphone. On the latest version of the Android app (version 4.5.13-googleplay), when I play against bots (and only against them), the board is now resized to a smaller size. It was probably made to give more room to the bots' lines of speech but it really makes the board too little (at least on my screen). Could it be possible to undo this new feature or at least to allow the user to disable it via a setting ?
Thanks in advance!
