bullet chess - impossible cheating

I’m happy to loose, anytime, but there are serious problems with bullet! I was 20s ahead, no pre moves but no delays on each move, high speed WiFi connection. Basically, physically impossible for opponent to catch up unless I stopped but still I got timed out. This has happened a number of times, to the point it seems almost pointless to play because it is so rigged (you know who is playing normally within 2-3 moves).

Clearly this is a known issue, as I was recently was awarded points back due to server cheating, I’d like to say it is still rife and sucks!

That sounds like either lag or disconnects between you and the server (not necessarily a disconnect from your local connection).

Do you maintain both a wifi and cellular connection while playing? If so, devices can switch between those connections, depending on what the OS sees as the best connection at any time, which can cause packet drops and resends, short disconnects, or other lag as it switches between the connections.

Regarding any refunds you got, that would be due to Fair Play closures. Your opponents can't impact your connections or clock as the server handles both.

Dubious - tried your suggestion, mobile off, WiFi only, still happened several times. Last match I physically watched the countdown went to 55 on their side during move 1, then I watched it reset to 1min as I made my second move.

I think at that speed there are some significant issues, irrespective of the cause, rendering it relatively pointless and dissatisfying if you are the wrong side of the lag.

That's lag and lag compensation

So, if you're experiencing lag between your device and the server, you will see your opponent's clock increase after moves and potentially use more clock if your lag exceeds the amount the site compensates for
