Yes, CAPS2 is gone now.
Let us hope it will return soon!

CAPS2 was in development. It's possible it was finally released, or the site just removed the ability to see it, which has never been a membership perk, being under development still.

It's been mentioned before, but it's worth repeating: the communication regarding site updates is severely lacking.

Is CAPS2 coming or not?

I agree with the sentiment -- and, in this case, we don't even if know if CAPS2 is already here or not!  @Martin_Stahl, is there any way you can find out for us?

I found out there is work being done around it right now and when it's fully released, it will be posted about. My understanding is that it will just be called CAPS.

Thank you!  Thanks for checking.

While you're at it, can I make one other suggestion in general?  KevinOsh is right, imho.  Chess.com is not very good at keeping us informed about stuff like this (meaning: changing or, in this case, flat out removing a feature without telling us).  I'm a big fan of chess.com, and am appreciative of all the myriad of capabilities: classes, analysis, social, tourneys, puzzles, and so much more.

But, geez, basic 101-marketing: keep your paying customers informed about what's going on!  It seems to me to be a very small investment of effort to keep us informed with the would reap a whole lot of extra goodwill, don't you think?  I don't read every blog post, but it seems like you, @Martin_Stahl, are the only one doing this (of which I am appreciative)

There are the "State of Chess.com" quarterly broadcasts that Danny Rensch does which are informative but I agree - a 'What's New' link on the site with brief regular updates, as other companies do, would be helpful.

It's certainly been suggested before, but would likely take a dedicated staff member to collate all the various project changes to communicate, depending on how changes are even communicated internally. Then there are all the minor changes, change reversions, beta only, changes slowly rolled out (small percentage of users at a time), etc.

The site does the State of Chess.com productions and monthly roll-ups of upcoming and recent releases: https://www.chess.com/article/view/chess-com-month-in-review-april-2021
