It would also help with people who time out of tournaments.
Cheating and fairplay - Suggestion on how to curb off cheaters and make tournaments more fair.
I am losing my mind on cheaters. I keep on reporting them but who's going to refund my damn lost points?
It's really unfair. I am paying REAL TIME chess lessons and these leaches use some AI damn thing. I would do more but if every move you make is made in less than a second- what am I supposed to do?
Recently I started playing tournaments and found out that these tournaments are full of cheaters. Usually these are new accounts with just a few games played and high accuracy per game. In a matter of fact as I recall I have only received messages from chess.com after playing in tournaments stating that points have been added to my rating to adjust for unfair losses since one or more of my recent opponents has violated the Fair Play Policy.
Point to be made is that some of the new accounts playing in tournaments seem to be very good players who just happen to play against lower rated players (for instance in rating brackets based tournaments), which is unfair as well.
The solution for these issues seems to be so obvious, just put a limit of minimum games played (100 games would be my suggestion) by a player in the respective variant and time format in order to enter tournaments. Exemption may be applied to "King of the hill", "Bughouse" and "3Check". Implementing such measures would significantly reduce the unfairness when playing in tournaments.
I by myself have finished 2nd or 3rd on a number of occasions just behind cheaters whose accounts were closed for violation of the Fair Play Policy. I haven't been rewarded the gold medal and the cheaters are still hanging with their gold medals...
I have suggested to chess.com that implementing such measures would be beneficial for the majority of regular players here but I seriously doubt that anything would be done in that matter.
My appeal to everyone here is to make suggestion to chess.com. Hopefully receiving feedback from more players regarding the issue may get their attention and some changes could be applied so more healthy environment would be provided.
