You can make shortcut with chess com and make it full screen. Cheating would be easier imo, running observer in background would mean hella lot coding or paying for smth like "punkbuster". Ppl are cheating from other device anyway as you said. But I think main reason they won't do is need of updating it with every small change and reverse engineering if they would add f.e. analysis offline. Also they would have to make proper versions for POSIX/Windows/. Idea is cool ofc, but I think they can't gain much from it while they may lose lots of time.

I've been wondering but wouldn't it be a good idea to have chess.com as an application on our computer?
For example, Steam and Discord are accessible on the browser but can also be downloaded onto your PC for easy and quick access. Besides, there is already an app for chess.com on the phone.
Pros:
- Possibly improved user interface on the downloaded version and additional content.
- Easier to access, I can just click on the shortcut when I open my PC.
- Maybe there could be an anti-cheat system to prevent chess engines running in the background when playing? It's not gonna stop the problem since the cheater could just use another device but at least it's a step forward.
- Idiots like me can stay focused on playing chess instead of getting distracted.
These are just my current opinions and thoughts on this. Thanks for reading.
