bottom line:
let everyone choose for themselves
it's obvious
it's simple
but the issue is, i don't wanna choose a teammate with chat disabled.

But two separate pools could work.
Pairings take longer, I can't wait to see.
Ok.
And - who cares, I know - but I've been looking into Bughouse thanks to this discussion and I'm going to try it. Looks like fun.

Oh, finding a game can be difficult?
How difficult?
And, probably a dumb question, but you only hear your partner's chat I guess?
Your partner's chat is worse. Most partners use abusesive language just because you didn't do top level performance in a game.
letting Google's AI answer my questions, even though I want AI and all robots to die:
Yes, bughouse is a rated variant on Chess.com. It has its own leaderboard and is a popular variant on the site, according to Chess.com. Players can participate in bughouse games, and their performance is tracked and rated, similar to standard chess. The site also hosts tournaments for bughouse, like the 2024 Chess.com Bughouse Championship, indicating the game's official standing on the platform.

It doesn't I guess. it was just a question I had. I don't know why I bothered you with it.
Perhaps, some people will try Bughouse after this thread...
Since when people likes to get abused? The whole post is about the abuse in bughouse.

Me, definitely... I'm actually reading the rules right now.

Well, it might be the best option to cut the Internet cable for maximum safety against abuse
Maybe we can have more buttons in Bughouse so the need to chat descreases, and blocking chat wouldn't be a much of issue. It would also work great since you wouldn't have to type something and lose some time while doing so.
This blog is a good one about this topic: https://www.chess.com/blog/JarlCarlander/bughouse-buttons (hope it's not advertising since it's on topic).
bottom line:
don't force chat or no-chat on anyone
you're welcome
