Hi, this is the first time I recorded my Chess.com gameplay as a form of self-journaling and intended to upload it to YouTube. I don't even play any external sounds, let alone musics, just purely Chess.com sounds. At a certain point, when I was moving my piece, the piece move sound got copyrighted by "Gargantuan Music, Glass Gore STEM SNARE, music@gargantuanmusic.com". I don't know why this happens, and what can be done when I or someone else gets a false copyright claim like this when I don't even play any music? Is this straight up copyright thief?
I have clicked the dispute button and explained that this is just the board sound from Chess.com; there's not even any music in my video. I've researched copyright thieves and false claims, and the dispute process unfortunately doesn't have any mechanism for reporting false copyright claims. It seems that there's not much an individual can do against these criminals.
