Chess.com unfairly banned my old account

Confirmed from chess.com support that it was for sandbagging, also I dragged it on because I found it funny that people were still commenting and getting mad on it

Your appeal was denied.

it sure looked like what I understand sandbagging to be.

Could you explain what it was by any chance I still haven't any information on what was actually caused the sandbagging ban, and I thought I explained everything that could have been seen as sandbagging in my appeal, appreciate the response btw

#22 you did more than just engage people though, you wrote long paragraphs explaining why you thought what you did and why everyone who argued against you was a troll themself. That’s not the behavior of someone who is joking, it’s the behavior of someone who cannot allow his ego to be remotely hurt whatsoever.

I see a lot of games resigned in the opening in late January and early February. That looks like sandbagging to me.

Yeah I explained this in my appeal but, I had many daily games going on and I was busy in life so I couldn't handle logging in every day to play them so I resigned them even though I just started them, but it should be no different from someone just timing out

The trolling went a bit too far, but I don't see how this is related to my ego :/ also unrelated to this thread

After looking at em it looks like I was making some bad moves, but it was because before resigning I wanted to see if I could win some games on time if I remember correctly. I don't remember the exact reason but it had nothing to do with lowering my daily chess rating on purpose and if I wanted to do that I would have just let my clock run down and lose on timeouts

I know that is sandbagging, but I was wondering what specifically. Like the 200 daily rating points I lost due to resigns/timeouts, or playing in an under 600 daily tournament while being 2000 in rapid

#27 No one spends hours of their time writing paragraphs they don’t even believe a word of just to troll. Or if they do, there’s some kind of mental problem going on but I’m willing to bet that’s not you. It’s related to your ego because you spent hours insisting that only high elo players like yourself were worthy of commenting on the forums. You responded to the massive backlash on that thread almost daily, and it was always to counter argue, not to troll people. And it is related to this thread, because someone who would spend that much time insisting on limiting the speech of half CCs player base is the same kind of guy who would probably do things like sandbag games, and then use business as an excuse. If you were busy, you could have and would have let the games time out.

bro some people do and its just to poke fun and something you shouldn't really take seriously there's no need to assume if someone does that they have some sort of a "mental problem"

Elo shaming isn’t very cool. I think others might appreciate another topic with an apology. Note: this wont affect your account that was closed for FairPlay violations.

It would have been funnier if it wasn't the 1000000th "BAN EVERYONE UNDER 300 LOLOLOLOL" post. Believe it or not, that joke has long passed.

HangingPiecesChomper

how is losing daily games on purpose sandbagging? you see people do it all the time by timing out all their games.
