That’s weird, I’m in beta as well and that function works fine on the website

When I go to my games and choose live, I then see a box that I can uncheck to select the type that I want.
This option is not there when I am looking at my opponent's games.

As someone put it, bugs lurk in corners and congregate at boundaries.
For me impossible to update the profile text. The site hasn't fix it in spite of my requests for months

I'm sure it's not just you, Talked to others who have experienced the same sorts of bugs I have, but they are random enough and obscure enough for chess.com, that they ignore them and just pretend to work on them. That's my theory and it appears to hold.

So, it's a bug only affecting me. Curious.
There's a new profile that's out to a subset of members. It's possible the Game History section is different for some members as well.
For example, mine says Game History at the top of the right panel and I have the check box to select specific pools.

Chess.com has always had its share of bugs, but their concern is about expanding not about fixing what they have. I should have signed up with the Internet Chess Club (ICC) years ago, but I'm more or less entrenched here now. I wonder when they'll purchase ICC, or perhaps fund the next Queen's Gambit (2020).
Internet chess puts the adrenaline of blitz above the deep thought of classical anyway, so as I get older I care less. I spend more time with my numerous chess books on the greats of the game, and less on Chess.com anyway. That said, I appreciate your frustration. Having been a programmer before I retired in 2005, I made damn sure my stuff worked through extensive testing. Seems testing isn't what it used to be, they let the folks find the bugs and then correct them, or say they're correcting them.
If I sound sarcastic, it's because I am. At least we can look forward to Danny Rensch's wrenching autobiography about his less than Norman Rockwell upbringing. If they make it into a made-for-streaming movie about another rotten childhood perhaps they'll call it King's Gambit. Don't get me wrong, I don't begrudge him his success.
Just my jaundiced two cents worth.
Best, Bob

The real problem, of course, is that there is scant evidence those doing the programming read Site Feedback forums.
I assumed it was not a bug, but part of new design features.

While eating perfectly cooked red meat for dinner that was still red, I remembered the horrors of my own childhood. Some members of my family like steak well done.
Several options have disappeared recently. These all affect access to information about opponents.
While searching an opponent's game history, I am now finding that I cannot limit the search to rapid games (or blitz, or any other live type).
While downloading an opponent's game history, I can no longer check the box giving me the fifty most recent, but must check 50 boxes.
Whoever made the decision to reduce these options should be fired.
