Can you beat a 1000 Elo bot but your Elo is only 200? Well, That's why I've created this forum!

Agree ELO is off. My elo is about 1100 but to lose I have to play the 1600 elo bot?

Bot ratings are estimates and at lower levels are mostly going to be a lot weaker than their rating indicates. The higher up the scale, the stronger they will be and likely closer to accurate. That said, the client device is also going to play a factor in how strong the bots are able to play.

I agree. I can play 2100 bots easily. But stuck at 1800 in blitz ratings. They want to rename the bots.

I can beat 1200 and 1300 bots but against an actual 1200 or 1300 i'd just play for a draw beacuse i wouldnt win

Depending upon the time control lower rated players have a chance to beat a master, yes.

Especially in Blitz even a master may miss a tactic. Humans are simply really bad at tactics.

But thats an error of the design of human beings, not of the math behind the rating.

i actually think bots are programmed to make an error once in x moves, based on their supposed elo

I agree, bots are probably exposed to make a few errors, except they should make it so the errors aren't that horrible, because let's say you beat a 1200 bot, so you think you're ready for 1200, then you get smoked. I think they should base real games with the bots so the ratings match up, for example I'm a 500 elo player and I can beat 1600 elo bots. Why?? Chess.com pls change this!!
