yes and before for an elo at 2600 2700, we had problems between 2200 and 2800, so it's as if they had made us lower our level, it's completely useless, and the difficulty level option distorts all comparisons, why do they do such stupid things?

Actually, I agree with this. If we can't master the lower rated puzzles why do we deserve to see the higher rated stuff?

Yeh, now I can get 5 points for every easy puzzle and eventually be rated 100000. Is this now gta? Am I grinding? And who knows how good anyone is at tactics by looking at their rating.

My puzzle rating was almost always around 1700. I made it over 2000 a few times, but not by much more. Suddenly, my rating is now 3600 and steadily climbing. I don’t know how to check the ratings of the puzzles, but they are so easy there is zero challenge. It was fun and gratifying—briefly—but it quickly became boring and pointless. I guess I’m not the only one noticing a dramatic difference in the puzzles.

You should increase to Hard or Extra Hard

You'll see a range of ratings, some higher and on the Standard difficulty you'll like see a larger portion below your rating.

Just looked at your puzzle history, thats hilorious. You are rated far over 3000 and continuously get absolutely trivial puzzles rated well below 1000, not just once, its basically every puzzle. That can't be the intended "standard" difficulty. Those puzzles are completely ridiculous.

I reported your specific situation. That certainly doesn't seem intended. How are you doing puzzles? Website or app?

Yeah the new puzzles are definitely broken. And if it's up to the users to adjust their own difficulty, then you can't compare users' puzzle ratings anymore. If people wanted to practice a wide range of puzzle difficulties, then custom puzzles was the option. Ranked should really be around your current ranking to measure puzzle ability.

My son has experienced similar issues - his puzzles rating hovered around 2250-2500 until 2 days ago. He started to get very long winning streaks then i started noticing he has been getting puzzles with difficulty ratings of 1000-1500.

Martin, do look at the puzzles I'm getting too. I only switched to Hard mode 12 hours ago. Still hit 3100.
With the algorithm prior to the patch, the past week i was struggling to maintain 2000.

I feel we weren't told about this and I don't know about the others but I found out here.
Is this only for the beta version?
some more statistics: my puzzle rating is hovering at 1690-1750 since a while now. the last few puzzles i got were: standard: below 1000 elo for about 30-40 puzzles, with the exeption of 2 puzzles, one 1800,one 1159. Hard: 1200 elo avaerage for 7 puzzles. Extra Hard: 1200-1300 elo avaverage for 7 puzzles
