I’M SICK AND TIRED OF YOUR GARBAGE, CHESS.COM. MUTE THE IDIOTS ON THE SITE, NOT THE GOOD PEOPLE!! FIX YOUR STUPID AUTO-MUTE SYSTEM RIGHT NOW!

I got muted for THIS comment! How is this bad??

https://www.chess.com/tournament/titled-players-invitational-tournament#comment-45581992

Stop using the sh*tty system on club admins, how are we supposed to promote matches and not get caught in the mute system? And when we are muted for this, how can we do our admin duties? And all our content disappears, no less.

Fix this site already, it’s just getting worse and worse. I already have the interface to complain about, and now this nonsense??

Jasob_Hendrix

I mean, you're not wrong about any of this

Precisely. This was their email:

Thank you for contacting Chess.com support. I understand you have an inquiry about the restriction on your account. I'd be happy to help.

“As I have checked, I can see that your account was muted due to the following comment: "Award my a$$, first the tournament needs to finish... " I can see that you mean no harm in this message but the system did not understand the context of the sentence. Having said that, the good news is, I have gone ahead and removed the mute on your account and it is now fully active! happy.png”

I tried writing the word itself, but received a stern threat from c.c.

I'm pretty sure it's hard for a bot to recognize sarcasm

Then they should just get rid of those bots ...

Or have the bots report the message to cc before auto muting and then have staff evaluate whether or not to mute

I'm not saying the current system is a good thing, add the the fact that even Schach got affected by it, but I'm pretty sure many, like MANY people use curse words on cc, even indirectly as our OP here. With all the other stuff about chess.com that chess.com staff have to handle, I'm pretty sure it'll take a toll on the few staff members to look at thousands of reports about abuse from the bots about auto-muting adding to the normal reports of abuse from members and what not

edr0nt

But there should be a solution to it in some way, they just need to be given time to figure it out

rcu_21

Hire me ill look at all the reports wink.png

Lord_Hammer

That is the best comment I've ever heard on this topic. I already have enough things to complain about the site, don't get me started chess.com
