FOCUS MODE

Maybe this topic has already been covered but if not I have to ask.

I decided to play a LIVE game a few minutes ago and I wanted to go to full screen. There used to be a little thing that I could click up on the upperhand right side of the chess board that would let me go to Focus mode or full screen but now it is gone.

I see the little thing on the bottom right side of the board that I think will let one adjust the size of the board but with my laptop and without a mouse it does not work.

Please tell me this is a temporary glitch and not this site breaking something that was just fine in the first place.

Again I have not played live in about 2 months.

Thank you for response and will try it next time I play live. I am aware of that was the way to get to Focus mode but it has not worked the last two times I have played.

The Play interface has a screen/window size requirement in order for the Focus Mode icon to show or the keyboard shortcut to work.

Is there anything like the lichess feature to totally remove the display of rating from the whole site?

No.

No, but what I do to emulate this feature is turn on “auto focus mode”

This makes it so as soon as I start a game it puts me in focus mode where rating is hidden. I would always get in my own head when I could see my opponents rating, feeling overly confident if I was significantly higher rated, or scared of every move if I was significantly lower rated. So while turning on auto focus mode can’t completely hide ratings, it will at least keep you from seeing them until the game is over.

Thanks, I';l give that a go., The focus mode sometimes lok a bit odd when playing but it works ok for hiding ratings. I do still liek to chat with players though so its a shame that hides the chatbox too
