Friends reel in home screen (app)

How do I remove the Friends reel in the Home screen of the app? It seems to have been recently added.
It takes up too much space and my friends list is mostly real friends and family members who are mostly offline. I only use it so we can easily play together once every blue moon when the mood hits us.
This feature is completely useless to me and it pushes to the bottom features that I use way more often, like Lessons, Bots, Daily Puzzles, Stats and History (for reviewing recent games after a session).
I don't see any option to turn it off in Settings -> Home.

There's currently no way to remove it
Extremely annoying! Please add an option to hide it!
